I will do AN. Not today though. That will be a nice way to spend an hour on a Sunday...tomorrow...and I will post them here then. It has wonderful relief and with the weight being spot on at 17.18g and the diameter at 27mm, it has a lovely chunky feel in your hand.

They are just magnificent aren't they...not just the thighs, lol....but these types in general.

I keep my better coins in a stack of Lindner coin trays. At the moment this coin is with my other Greek silvers in the top tray. Whenever I have walked near them today, this tet simply leapt out from them and demanded all attention. Now I have one I want more lol.

Taking ANs lead, I am giving myself just a little fruit -

Someone should have warned you that buying Greek silver is like putting the proverbial Numismatic needle in your arm.

Too late now. Was just saying to my wife that I almost feel like swallowing it.

Trust me bro if you swallowed it, you wouldn't be the first. Remember that pockets were not really in use at that time and purse was a target for thieves. The best place was to keep it in your mouth or "wedge" it somewhere's else.

Hey V. C. Great Coin!

I mean it.

I wish all, no some, no, even a few of mine were that good (but then I might become paranoid).

Very green with envy

Swallow it? Gastric juices may clean the coin on the way through, but then WHAT?

Thanks TC...I don't mean to make you or anyone jealous...I think I got a pretty good deal on it, for such a fine coin. I would love to have one of those EF examples that some very wealthy collectors fill their collections with. Now that IS a source of envy!!

Sel...I would imagine that much of the silver would be lost during its passage through all at hydrochloride acid, which would be a shame. Probably wouldn't do me any harm though. Silver can be very good for you. Best to avoid the copper ones though. Too many would lead to copper poisoning.

Why am I talking about eating them? It's weird though, some of the really large and beautiful coins do seem edible in some way. Maybe I am lacking certain minerals, lol.

Whoa! Sweet, that's a very nice example of the type. Seeing as I'm broke I think I'll stick to my fourree with the test cuts! Can't beat the price on that!
