Just type in what you want to know. I typed in constantine vii and I suspect ski typed in the sear number.

I have gone into 'acsearch' and I have entered Basil I and I have entered Constantine, but I still can't recreate the list that you guys got.
Obviously I am 'missing' something?

Just type in Sear 1745 and it will bring them up.

P.P. - I must be going into the wrong 'acsearch.info' because I just tried 'Constantine vii' and of all of the coins (auctions) that came up NONE were the same. What am I doing wrong?
I am off to try Ron's 'Sear' number.

With the 'Sear' number - 92 examples. Thanks Ski.
Now if only I knew how to do it when I don't have the 'Sear' number? Am I on the right 'acsearch' site?

$1,500 is a lot to spend on one coin on ebayThe coin that you are interested to bid on looks OK from this, and all of the other pictures provided. The next step is the check out the reputation of the seller. Do a comprehensive keyboard search on all other items sold and on the business itself. I have had a very quick and cursory look, and that area seems OK as well, so far. Make sure the money back gaurantee is valid. If you have any doubts if and after you receive the coin, take it to a bullion dealer and have it XRF'ed. Have it checked for trace metals other than gold. The ancients knew nothing of electrolytic gold refining. Modern coin gold is almost always pure gold, or more commonly an alloy pure gold and copper only. With any coin of this sort of value, always keep the sale invoice to help prove provenance.

Don't get me wrong it's a nice coin, but if I were going to spend that much money. I would rather spend it on two or three nice Greek tetradrachm's. I would grab the nicest First Meris I could find for example. http://www.vcoins.com/en/Search.asp...OnSale=False

I understand what you are saying, Ski, and I go along with it. Clearly the seller put his 'top' price on the coin and because of what you and P.P. put in front of me, my offer was less than half of what the listing was asking. My offer was not accepted. I LOVE the First Meris, but dealing with the likes of VCoins 'frightens' me. They quote in US$, GBP, and Euros (confusing) and then there are 'fees' (Buyer's Premium etc.) and then there is (undisclosed) postage and handling charges, ALL of which can add up to much more than you think that you are paying for the coin. I guess that when you do it a few times you get used to it, but 'daunting' is a word that comes to mind. (Limited budget is another.)

Hi, A.N. - What do you think that I would have to pay for one like that?

Everything is up on Vcoins and there are no buyer fees and postage is stated when you buy the coin.

I'm going back for another look, Ski. Maybe I am thinking of an 'Auction' site?
