Welcome aboard, Bill. I'm pretty new here myself, though I've been a collector off & on for 60 years. But I can tell you there are a lot of people here who are happy to help and to share their knowledge.
EDIT: By the way, I am from northwest Florida.

Greetings from Pittsburgh, PA.........I am new to coin collecting, but no stranger as a collector!! I'm ecstatic to have finally found a forum that encompasses all the relevant and current information via an extremely dedicated community. I am definitely not fluent enough to feel comfortable about sending out a plethora of coins to have graded. I look forward to hearing from everyone, and just reading through as many posts as I can to build a strong foundation!
Have a blessed day!

My name is Jason and I'm recently retired. Just got curious about coins when I received a 1930 Indian head nickle in my change from Dunkin.

Hello from The States, Minnesota!Hope to get some help with my Grandfather and Dads collection and if I should get them graded. I have played around with coins, but completely new to the details. I understand the city locations where they are stamped, looking on the edge of some coins quickl y to fine the silver ones, but need the experts!

As a long time collector of US coins and medals particularly 19th through 21st. centuries I have special interest in Constitutional silver coinage as well as modern mint products. Looking forward to an informative association with this group. Thank you for my admission.

Hi,
I'm from Wales (between Cardiff and Pontypridd) in the UK, and I work (in a business that brings me here) in Bristol, England, also in the UK.
Thank you for hosting this forum.

Hi there! Thank you for the welcome! I really do love searching through coins, especially looking for errors. I am currently focusing on trying to find a 2021 Philadelphia Penny Spiked Head Die Crack error. I stopped looking through coins a few years ago because I got stuck on comics (I collect and sell those too). However I am excited to get back in the game! I am from the United States. Fatts022

I've been a coin collector since I was a young lad, still collecting, buying, selling, swapping at 77. I'm originally from Texas, spent 20 years with the USAF that allowed me to see a good bit of Europe being stationed in Germany, some of Turkey and Thailand while I was stationed there. I ended up in Plano TX for work and just settled down here. I've used Numista a lot in the past to look up coins and values. It has been extremely helpful and it's time I started repaying the help if I can.

Hello all, Thanks for the great site! I hope to learn a lot here in the coming months and years. I've already poked around and learned some fascinating things. The site is huge and a lot to look through, so first I'm going to navigate around before I innundate anyone with questions. I'm not only new to the site, but new to collecting as well. I have very limited knowledge, and I know that bothers some people when dumb questions are asked, so I'll try and avoid a bunch of that. I am from California but now live in Oregon, also lived in Missouri in between there and here for a while. My grandfather was the captain of the Bay Area bridges in California (with the exception of the Golden Gate which had its own management system) back in the 70s through the 90s. A lot of change went through his hands as well as frequent trips to the bank for all sorts of transactions I suppose. He left a little collection, which is how I became interested in coins. He used to give my younger self Ike dollars, which fascinated me with their size. When you're 6 or 7, it just makes one feel rich :) For work, I am the manager of a QC team for a real estate appraisal management company - we look over values of houses all the days long. It's a bit slow right now, so I'm looking to get my first round of coins in for grading, which I've never done. On that note, thanks again for the site and information. I think I'll navigate over to the pennies and see if anyone can outdo my ugliest penny ever ;) I just noticed when I went to upload that photos of screens are not allowed? I guess I'll see if I can figure out why, as that might hinder me. I have a microscope with a screen that I zoom in on, but I can't transfer from for coins.

Greetings.
I am a casual collector from northern VA. Looking forward to checking out the site, and perhaps getting to know folks, and a bit more about coins.
My situation is that I'm still working - probably retire in a few years. While I'm working I'm usually really busy and thus haven't had much time to devote to coin collecting. After I retire I expect I'll spend a fair amount more time on it though. I'm a big history buff in general.
