Thanks for the response. I Googled a few things before posting and thought it might have been a die gouge. You seem pretty confident about it being a strike through though.

"thedollarman" you are exactly right. I just noticed a piece that is laying on the coin that has the same shape. Maybe a piece of plastic, hard to tell. I'll try to add a picture of it.

Now that's cool, perhaps if the actual piece that got in the way it could be in a dual slab with the coin, it doesn't seem to be the exact same shape as the strike through though....

Yeah, maybe not exactly the same. But it looks really close to me.

Does anyone else have an opinion?

I would be scared of that peice of debris damaging the coin, I would remove the coin and peice of plastic quick and carefully.

I have no idea how. I'm a little nervous about it too . It cost me 180 and I would hate to ruin something.

I've contacted NGC to see what services they could provide me with. If I do get it graded I would like for another coin to takes its place within the set.

Also, I decided to post this on ebay, I'm accepting offers to see if it's easier to just let someone else buy it from me and I could buy a whole replacement set.

Couldn't you just return it to the seller and say that it's got issues?
Were returns accepted in the listing?

I could, I have 14 days, but I'm not sure I want to. Something makes me feel like this coin should have an increased value.

No! Don't sell it on ebay! Once it is graded you can sell it in a huge auction and bring tons of premium!

How huge are you thinking? If I send it to be graded they said they won't put the coins back in the proof lens...

The proof lense? Well the proof lense won't matter. I am not talking that huge, I mean, like a heritage auction where you can have lots of exposure.
