MS66 at least----lovely fields--- count for 50% of grading points.

This is not the first '36 with good lustre, that I have seen with an obviously weak strike; it is weak on both sides with design detail. Reasonably clean from nicks and scratches.
Strictly on condition alone,
MS63.

This coin gives obvious but silent witness of it's manufacturing process: it was rimmed first to convert it from a blank into a planchet, then struck very slightly off centre. This is evidenced by the fact that rim has been struck with denticle detail.

At the very least MS64 but more likely a MS65. Obverse dose have a weak strike. I'd be very surprised if it's not a MS65.

I dislike grading from photos but I will play. How about ms65 or ms66. I'm leaning towards ms66

The fields look very clean....could be a MS64-65, but as echoed, I would like to see in person to be sure

I have just started "learning" how to grade coins within the past week. Before I looked at any of the comments I came up with AU-55, looks like I'm quite a bit lower than everyone else though haha. I guess I will keep practicing.

I am going with MS-64, in my opinion, given the weak strike may have influenced the grade. Should not but it does happen. Actual grade must be quite a bit lower if you are disappointed.

as long as whats in the photos is whats on the coin and I would say by ICCS standards a strong 65.

Thanks to all who replied.
Some of you were bang on.
For some reason, weak strikes seem to be common on the 36's
I have but on the 35's, they all have nice full strikes.
sel-691, you are right, the obverse has been struck off centre.

Generally the weaker 35 strikes are weak on the reverse. Most visible on the rail of the Canoe.
