I give up even the 1999 annual report does not say how many were made.

Look at the Year 2000 Report, maybe it will have everything made in 1999.

Some pretty low numbers there for mintages.
Nice sleuthing there Agaupt, so the set in question that Yingyang got for $25
is one of 60,245. Nice snag.

Coin to snipe;
2000 25 Cent Celebration Quarter - 24,949

That total must be for the colored version, because I find those all the time (non - colored)

I agree Ace_ftw, the coloured quarter, the price at CA is $44.95 for the coloured version.

Rare. 26,106 listed as the mintage on that site. (Sold Out)

Yeah, pretty sure ace_ftw is right.

I got an ad in the mail from RCM for it when it came out, I debated spending $8.95 on it for a couple of days and by then it was sold out . Looks like I shoulda pulled the trigger sooner on that one.

Yes it is those decisions that we lament the greatest, I shoulda, coulda, woulda.
In the grand scheme of things, it is a coloured quarter in a cardboard holder.
It's rarity makes it more desirable. Ever see it on a Flea Market Table, snap it up.

I have two of the Celebration quarters that I purchased at a premium. They routinely sell for over $40. If you can find one for less, buy it.

The Celebration quarters have always been something of a dark horse. Over the years, I've seen so many used and abused in the packaging, yet they consistently seem to sell in the $50 range.

I have one of those 99 specimen sets found it at Home Hardware of all places. The original price on them was 49.95, marked down to 24.95. I bought them to check for error coins (found none) but still a nice quality selection of coins. Have also never seen one since.
