The boxed ATB's with COA are unlikely to ever fall within the OP's stated price guidelines. Even if a box and COA doesn't fit the budget, I sill think the BU bullion versions are very interesting and very collectable. There's also some pretty impressive price appreciation, too, on the more popular BU ATB issues.

Beautiful coin, denco! Even if I didn't recognize the Libertad, I'd know that mint mark anywhere.

Lunar series II is my vote. The quality is second to none.

I voted Libertad. They are taking off like wildfire, 10 years ago I used to pick em up for close to melt, even the kilo sized one and now they always command hefty premiums.

I am looking to order some airtite capsule for mine. I haven't have the time to come around and order them yet (cheaper if I order in bulk, and may be sell off those extra on here or ebay....?)

I voted Libertad...love the design. Rumors I have read state 2016, and out, mintage figures will be boosted big time, leaving earlier key date coins sitting very well for flipping down the line.

ilikeikes: Do you have a sources? If it's from Don Bailey then I am pretty sure it's true.
Regardless, mintage of Mexico Libertad (gold and silver) coins are very low, compare to many other series.

Information about future increased mintage figures came from here: "For those who missed last year's issue, 2015 is a good year to start collecting this series. Early indication from Mexican Mint higher ups is that plans are to ramp up mintages for this series starting in 2016. The high demand has the Mint looking to increase the mintage enough so that a few more collectors can get a hold of them. If this holds true, than we will be looking at a two year key date of 2014 and 2015 for the seven coin series. If you were not a believer in the viability of the seven coin set already, it might be time to hop in." ============== "Stay tuned for big news coming down the pipeline: advance word is that there are new issues in the works for 2016 and 2017. We will know more exact numbers later on, and we will work hard for you here at the Mint blog get you the information first. On a personal note, thanks so much to everybody for all the kind words- we are grateful we have our health and our friends!" ================= http://world.mintnewsblog.com/2015/...er-key-year/

Question for you Libertad collectors: how well do the proof versions hold up over time?

I haven't keep track of them but I am sure if you do an ebay check of completed sale, you should be able to have some ideas.
