When ever I type in OBVLCO into my search engine, I get a bunch of Iberian- Celt coins that show up. I don't want to mislead you but I think it might be a Spanish celtic coin.

Not sure, Augustus Maximus, but it's really close (your link)...it's a bit difficult discerning the specific motifs on the coat of arms on tenbobbit's coin...But clearly we are in the ballpark...

AM, only the symbol in the shield is different. It looks like 2 staffs or similar instead of a sword, Hearts top and bottom with circles inbetween. Awesome efforts BOB & AM, many thx

Quote: It looks like 2 staffs or similar instead of a sword, Hearts top and bottom with circles inbetween. I would assume the differences in the shield design between tenbobbit's coin and the one linked to by Augustus Maximus are due to corrosion damage, rather than an actual design difference. It was, originally, a dagger. I'd say we can call it a match. The "bull" on Moldavian coins such as this one (and on the coats of arms of modern Romania and Moldova) is an aurochs, a now-extinct species of wild cattle that still lived in Central Europe at the time this coin was minted.

Totally disagree with that assumption SAP, it certainly isn't a dagger or sword as depicted in AM's example There are 2 symbols, 1 longer than the other which I have attempted to draw. I have plenty of info to work with now so hopefully I will find its match soon.

I'm always happy to be proved wrong, then.
