I managed to locate one of the Australian 2002 (sons birth year) square .50 silver bullion coin on ebay this week and made up my mind, no matter what, that baby was coming to Indiana!!! I am now closer to a complete set as I managed to get it for under $30 bucks but the shipping from Down Under brought the total up a few bucks. One way or another I am going to have a full set if this is the last year!!!

"palindrome" = year of the coin reads the same either backwards or forwards....

Australia has to STOP!!! I can't stand these repeated photos of coins I MUST HAVE!!! And, the part that kills me is the QUALITY of the proofs and the Lunar Coins are a great example. What a great series!

...So far we have only exposed you to the decimal NCLTs, wait till you see our predecimals...that is when it really hurts, especially the wallet..

2006---Lunar--Year-Of-The-Dog

Just a tip for any of you Lunar Coin Collectors..[:p]

Issue Price: AUD$49.50

This coloured version is out as well. Only 3,800 available for sale in Australia. Last years version of the 1oz coloured Rooster sold out in weeks. It is very difficult to get one of those Roosters now and any that was listed a few months ago have more than doubled it's issue price.

What a great day for me and the mail wasn't even running but FedEx and UPS were. I received my 2002 silver square silver bullion Kookaburra and the two 2005 one half ounce square Kookaburras arrived today also. Now all I need is that darned 2003 to finish a set!!!
Also received the Canadian $5 Whitetail deer and fawn today. It is a coin and stamp series started last year with a wildlife theme. I have the Moose $5 silver (risen drastically in price), the Grizzly Bear $8 silver coin the Polar Bear in silver and the Loon from 2004. They come in great wooden display cases along with a mint stamp and a post marked version of the stamp. Really an attractive series and me being a deer lover, well I had to add it!

Yes there is...the Perth Mint also minted them in 1/2 oz and 2 oz. You can purchase them separately or buy them as a three coin set. Big Fella should be able to help you out as his P&H is less than the Mint.

Here is the Link

Cheers....Lim
