I received 2 of the gold coins in error from the mint, and now I am waiting for them to tell me how to send them back. I have been waiting almost a week for direction from my rep (who confirmed it was a mistake and would get back to me).

Did they charge you for them? Also, isn't there some law about receiving unsolicited goods in the mail? It's yours to keep, or something...

I had that happen a few years back - it was the first 'moon mask - gold', about $1800 worth. I returned it as instructed, insured Canada post paid, (never got reimbursed) but to make matters worse, it got 'lost in the mail'. I did get my money back, but only exactly what the coin was worth - and it took over 3 months to get the insurance money.

The 2 oz Silver Looney's have been awaiting stock from day one...
According to telephone rep at Mint yesterday - they are all out of stock of the 2 oz's...both as individual and subscriptions.

Hi All!

Wondering if anybody has purchased the 1/2oz Silver ($10) Looney Tunes subscription and has a coin or two in-hand? Would love to see what the coins look like in "real-life" versus the renderings on the RCM site. If anybody has photos, could they post?

Been on the fence with this subscription - high mintage, uncertain personal appeal.

Sold out at the Mint means a coin is sold out there. That's all. Means nothing if all the dealers have them in stock. Which they have in stock because there is very little interest in these coins. I would not be surprised if there will be discounts on these coins soon.

Agree with MoneyPenney.
Might be not on all but for sure will be for selected designs.

It took a little over 3 weeks to receive my 20 for 20 Bugs coins and I like em but I don't know how safe this plastic they came in is. This was a good deal at $15 US each with free shipping.

Congrats for getting these!

But this is the usual price for this series since 2011.
If you will ask bullion only coins stacker, the person will tell you that you bought 1/4 silver for $15.....but of cause these are numismatic and not bullion item.

Plastic pouch:
My 10 first coins from this series stored in the capsules in the RCM box, but some - from 2011 (or 2012) Canoe and Polar Bear - in original package, and nothing happened to them.

The key here is the capsule, as long as the capsule is closed tightly you should be fine. And it doesn't hurt to double check if the capsule is tightly closed, as I found that is not the case a few times before.

OUCH: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/111689011097...RK:MEBIDX:IT

So didn't need, but at this price, I couldn't help myself (placed a low bid and won).

Head's up to anyone with a low-start price... might want to re-think strategy, as if looks like the bottom is falling out with the Looney Tunes gold.

If you don't really need this - probably better not to buy.
Speak with the seller - I think, he will be happy not to sell for this price and will try to change selling strategy.

These will fell in price more - till the metal content, basically being non movable. People not interested, and sellers prefer to keep, rather to sell for extra low.

No problem from my end... I would consider it a "score"! Didn't need, but will take at this price.

I honestly feel for the seller though... With taxes and e-bay fees, he's out $400+.

At least there's some salvation for me: my bid put $20 more in his pocket!

I had ordered two golds, cancelled one, and ended up returning the other. I think the Superman gold is a better buy for long term value, that's why I bought that instead. The Looney Tunes gold wasn't very impressive imo.
