That's quite a price difference. I wonder if it's some backchannel thing for Nikon owners?

I don't know dave. I contacted them about a Nikon d7100. I am going to try one for awhile. I have a chance to use this camera from a friend. I contacted them asking about what setting I had to use for a bellows. I also asked the person about old manual lenses. I told them I was new to Nikon camera . I asked about tethering and the person said I have a link please follow it and there is a great deal there. for this tethering software it has been reduced to clear. well I have purchased the software 29.99 hope it works maybe they thought I was buying a new Nikon I don't know. I watched the video that is there on this link. it show stacking oh there is so much stuff. how to run to monitors. oh yes it also has a program that allow the photo owner to encrypt there pictures. so if some one wants to use your photo they can but you will be identified as the owner. don't know if we need that but that part of it. anyway see how it goes

I love my D7100. It allows me to use AI, AIS, E, AF, G, and AF-S lenses so is super versatile. CCP2 works well with it.

question bill I was wondering if I get and adapter is there any problems with using the older Minolta lens. The people at Nikon told me to set the camera on manual or A mode. would this be correct. I have been doing some reading on this camera. it sound like quit the camera. what I have for a canon is a eos rebel t1i. I like this camera a lot. I brought a very cheap bellows. I have learned big mistake. so when I get ready to go again with photos. I will follow yours and dave lead. plus any other member that want to give me direction. I have been playing around out door with the canon getting use to it great camera. very easy to use have a great one.

well I have been working a bite with the Nikon tethering software. I have had no problems. it is very easy to work with. it is similar to canon liveview with just a few differences. I would suggest to anyone who wants to know how it works to go to youtube and view the 40 minute video. it is called controlmynikon 5.2. to buy the software it is 29.99 if you want a hard disk backup. it is another 20 dollars. also when you purchase this software it give you licence's to 3 computers. nice if you have more than one. they also show you how easy it is to see your histograms and they also show you how to do stacking. anyway here is a couple of pics for your viewing it show what it looks like on your computer dave or ray if you guys don't mind maybe it would be ok if you guys could add a link. I don't know if that is ok but you guys will know

mcshilling the Nikon program magnification is very different than canon program in liveview. I will take a few shots with the Nikon. its different I like it very much but I have to say the canon is a very excellent camera. I have found some information on super macro lens home made. may build one of them later. I tried the microscope objective that ray and dave talk about that is some thing else. mint marks and small errors fill the image. I have a microscope. I find it so much more easier to just set back and watch the monitor. than to stare through the microscope. coil roll hunting is so fast with the canon and the right lens and a small block of wood with art paper on it. I can check coins so fast it takes no time to do a roll. what I am finding is amazing sure am glad that dave and ray and the rest of the member kept me on course. this is what I was looking for thank you all. I have to still learn how to crop and resize images. plus want to learn how to use photo enhancement program have a great one
