{quote]This has been on ebay for over a year and a half now[/quote]

Unless it is listed in the wrong category ebay's free listing does not apply to coins (as I found out when selling one of my MOD sets) and it costs the seller $1 every time it is relisted.

If the seller is scamming the system the flag away and report it.

As I have said before the free listings policy of ebay in the last year or 2 has flooded the market with junk across all collectibles markets.

It is a neat coin. A Lexus is a lot neater though.

It is a talking piece, but a $80,000 talking piece? No way.

Out of curiosity...what would an error like this go for?

Fifty cents maybe a dollar at most. Grease Filled Die errors are very common. This one may have a little interest since the date is the only thing involved and it now has a clear date of 9.

Usually it is the words Charter Oak that fill on this issue.

Grease struck through coins are pretty common. Worth a few bucks or so. Not worth the grading fees !! LOL

THIS COIN IS ONE OF THOSE THINGS YOU OWN IN LIFE THAT REALLY DOES MAKE FOR GREAT CONVERSATION

Something like- "Did I ever tell you about the time that I spent $79,990 too much for a coin?"

Makes you wonder where they came up with the price tag? Wonder if they even bothered to get any input on it.
