Interesting. My mom and siblings live in Glenwood, IA, just south of Council Bluffs. Wish I had known we had another collector nearby! Although while living there I was basically just into State Quarters and wheat cents it has been a couple years.

Gee whiz, maybe it isn't worth the effort to fit in any CRH-ing. Any good coin stores in the downtown area? I'll be near the federal building...

I live across the river in Council Bluffs. I'm not a big roll hunter, my bank only allows me to get 5 rolls at a time. I have found some 40% and 90% silver Kennedy's, and some NIFC. No proofs or older silver however.

ABC Coins and Collectables is a pretty good coin store! DSS Coin & Bullion is pretty good, the largest dealer in Omaha I belive, but the first and best location is in a rough neighborhood.
Also, if you CRH wheats you can usually get 20+ per box, if you do that...

Thanks to all who replied! I enjoy "sampling" the CRHing potential of different areas of the country. Childofwheat, I'm not a cent hunter, so I've no idea how many wheats a box of cents from my area would produce, but if you are willing to pickup the box from me in downtown Omaha, I'd be happy to bring you one. Just let me know so I can try and get a box before I leave town tomorrow.

Quote: You wont find a P coin that's newer than 2013 here. Exact opposite in NE Ohio. You'll find P mints all the time, D mints not so much. I still havent found some UNC D mints from the past several years. I have some buddies out west who send them to me from time to time.

Whenever I travel, I always try to do a little CRH. My goal is to find at least one silver coin from each state. So far 45 out of 51. NE is crossed off the list.

52: 50+DC+PR. Seriously, it is a lot easier for me to get to PR than HI. Who wants to raise it to 56?

I went ahead and ordered 2 boxes of halves to look through while I'm in Omaha. Picking them up, looking through them and redepositing them in the short time I have there will be a challenge, but I'm up to it. :) I'll report my results in a couple weeks. Happy hunting everyone!

Box 1 yielded 4 NIFC , 2002-2010. I'm looking for 2010-2015 :(
I counted 10 different marks on coins (and coin edges) from CRHers.
On to box 2...

Box 2 yielded 3 NIFC, but none of them were the coins I needed for my kids' collections. Oh well, it was worth a try :)
I counted 5 new CRHer marks in this box.
Happy hunting all!
