I lost the photos of my great find when my computer crashed a couple of years ago. It was a 1988-D RDV-006. It was the discovery piece of die pair #9. I was mentioned in DVN for discovering it, and they mentioned the buyer who had it slabbed and certified by ANACS. It cost me 1¢, and I sold it for $175 I think I came out ok.

Hey Childofthewheat , what's your setup for searching. Like how much magnification, how bright is the light?

60X loupe, with it's own light. I forgot to mention I had found like 25, maybe 30 RPM's that I have yet to check the # for.

60x is not doing your eyes any good. 14x max for errors/varieties.

Great finds everyone!

Here is the best LMC that I pulled from a CWR back in 2013.

This was the second one of these that I've been lucky/fortunate enough to have found.

1972P 1 DO-001

Wow , nice finds all !

Wheat , get a old 50mm enlarger lens and a desk lamp. Separate your coins by year then look at them.angle and turn them in the light.
A wider view will show you alot you have been missing just because you can compair design elements to each other and different light angles will make hidden features pop

I agree with John1, I use a 10x Loup which is plenty strong enough for me and I agree with stoneman227, lighting is extremely important. And Chuckster, I remember when you found that beauty, what a great find, the "Queen" of all Lincoln Cent Doubled Dies!

Here's mine, but it doesn't match up to some of your great finds:

I don't generally check for varieties beyond the WAM/CAM and the 2009 LP2 DDR-001. Have probably let a fair number slip through my hands, but I have found a very nice AU '98 WAM.

Sudz:

Thanks!

* That is a beautiful 83P DDR!

Right up there with the 72P(IMHO)

It's great to find either one of them!!
