So, how big was the selection of US coins at a small German show?

Nice coins. Those early Barber quarters in grades above G-VG are difficult to find. I'd say the 1894-O you got would wholesale for what you paid for the lot. Be sure and check the weights. These aren't uncommon coins so low weight is probably the best test for counterfeit silver.

YEAH you did good! All look lightly cleaned, though, except perhaps the IHC.

Well, certainly the silver looks cleaned. Still, very decent price; a lot turns on the '94 Lib.

You didn't do good, you did fantastic. Makes me want to go to Germany too. Could never find deals like that right here in the USA.

I was really surprised to find these at my local show. Classic U.S coins, besides Morgans, have become very scarce at german shows. I guess they have all been picked out by now. Morgans, yes, many dealers here still have those. The silver is cleaned, I knew that. But the nickel is quite nice, and I almost went by without picking it up. Glad I had my Red Book with me. The dealer wanted 12 euros for it, but let me have for 10 ($ 11).

These coins were probably brought over from a trip to the US in the 1890's. Incredible how this stuff ends up in foreign countries and in the condition too. That B in liberty on the V nickel looks weird, but still an easy $100+ USD coin. (90-100 euro?)

I am really enjoying the 1894 Nickel. Here are close-up pictures. How would it grade? I have really no experience with these modern coins.
