I bought a coin from them in an action a few days ago. Very smooth process no problems. As for shipping, a third party is used. My item was in a typical mint clamshell and it was 20.00. The item was sent by purolator.

Also interest in shipping information from icollector.com and there seems to be nothing specific on their website.

For those who have bought from them in the past, how do the calculate shipping and most importantly, do they combine items for shipping? TIA

Wish I could help CC, but I have only won the one item from auction so I do not know if they combine shipping or how they calculate it. I also forgot to mention earlier that there is tax on the shipping amount.

Thanks Orfew. It's unfortunate that the shipping (and packing) is such an unknown. There are at least a dozen things I would bid on but not if each of them comes with a shipping charge.

They use something called Pak Mail and I suspect they do multi pack but it doesn't specifically say so on the website. If I was in the GTA, then local pick up would be an option.

Oh well, saved a few hundred bucks I guess. Maybe next time.

There are a lot of multiples offered. Theres an entire case of hologram wrapped pennies, interesting to see what the box of 25 goes for. Anyone know what a roll goes for now. Also many coins offered are still for sale on mint site.

Pal Mail does combine shipping, I bought off them once before. Cost was a bit high, remember about $35, when postage was around $20.

The auction network felt shady, not sure why and have not gone back.

Why are the winning bids undisclosed? I rarely see this. Most auctions are upfront about the winning bids. Are they trying to hide something?

This auction was strange the glass fauna set had 2 bids for $12,500.00 then at the end of the auction it was unsold, did not see any reserve price.

I watched a good portion of the auction and many items sold well below issue - 30-40% below issue price.
The highest priced item I saw sold for 15,000 before fees for the 5 gold murano glass set...
Really strange why sold prices undisclosed?

Like I keep saying, a sad state for NCLT maybe 2 or 3 retain value a year recently, The big coin and fauna with fees barely got to issue. Generally icollectors sold prices stays on the website.

I decided to bid on a few coins in this auction, ended up winning two of them.
My feeling was that after 18%, plus tax and unknown shipping costs the prices were very high.
I received a bill today for $30 + tax to ship two coins.

Now I know I was bidding correctly for the ones I did win and the ones I lost.
