Now Skippy, think. How's he supposed to answer that? He's got exactly the two pictures posted above, nothing more. You can tell just as well as he can how sharp the edge is.

Can't help with the authenticity but I would hazard a guess that if the seller has lots of other coins that are fakes, it seems very unlikely they would have a similar one that is the real thing.

The originals were broadstruck so the edge should be rounded, not flat. This looks fake

LOL...That's a good one! Skippy says" "It looks like he took a 2 blurry photos of a coin in his collection." Skippy just looked at the coin (missed the ebay part)to see it was bad; and was too fast to reply.
Bad Skippy. Bet the OP wondered what Skippy was asking also :)

Good on ya Skippy. I usually just leap before looking when I'm on ebay and see an auction almost over. I bid on it, win, then go huh! I've already got one of those!

frans_coins item 262486853391

I sent a question to frans_coins

Could I see the back of these bars to confirm they are not counterfeit.

Absolutely. I am down the shore for the weekend and will be back late tomorrow night or early Monday morning and I will forward that to you. Thank you

Red flag - Late Sunday night or early Monday morning. Auction closes Sunday afternoon. Plus one was sold, one left.

I was shocked I got a reply. Maybe they are real. Later.

Please notice on the reverse of the 1810 Half Cent a wavey line from the C in cent to the bottom of the H in Half. This is a dead give-away that any Half Cent with this flaw is a Chinese fake. Appears on Chinese Half Cent fakes from 1809 to 1836.
