So far it's been an awesome haul, but there's still WAY more to go. I'm maybe 10-15% through. The bowl is about 6-7 inches deep.

What a great thread. Entertaining and informative. Thanks to all, especially, of course, to CC2000.

Celebrating New Years by looking through cents. Also forgot to show my trail die that I found in a box last week before this thread. Not gonna take pics right now, but it was 1996P-1DER-018T on traildies.com

Not sure if I should keep this Rim Cud or not. Opinions? It shows at 9:00-11:00, 11:30, and barely at 12:00 on the obverse.

OH MY GOODNESS! I found ANOTHER 1994P-1DER-023T Trail die!! It has a hairline scratch on the obverse, but it's still an awesome coin. I needed that after a day of nothing

Wow CC2000, just got done reading the thread and am amazed at the number of varieties. I once bought 1/2 bag of wheaties (2500 for $75) way back when. I kept them as long as I could, but on first pass, I was like you are now and kept about 350 AU-BU, early MM, etc.

Second pass, pulled out a bunch of high grade coins, mint luster, better mint marks and some other reason for going through again and kept another 400.

On the 3rd pass I discovered errors and hauled out another 200 or so along with a 1944 double struck with 23 degree rotation on both sides.

Point being, I missed that gem that was worth far more than all the previous pulls combined the first 2 times through. So have patience as others have wisely counseled, you have yourself a gold mine, take the time to mine it.
