Thanks for the input guys!
I'm sending this coin to a buddy of mine, Ordirtdevil.
Maybe he can get some better pictures and post them for us all.

To be completely sure, I need to see a picture of LIBERTY

The doubling appears stronger on this piece than that of #4 or #7.

Lets' see the LIBERTY...

That's FS#1c - 033.52 Doubled Die Obverse (2-O-I) also known as Die #2.

I am hoping that coppercoins can back me up on this one. The doubling is stronger than that of #7 which is the other possibility based upon the direction of the doubling.

I think that with all of the Coinstar machines and some banks offering free coin counters lots of coin jars and stashes are being cashed in. Most people won't bother rolling coins unless they REALLY need the money for something, pouring them into a machine is easy!

I guess I'm a parade-rainer because I just aint seeing that coin as DDO. Havent we seen MD far more radical than that?

If MD can do that to LIBERTY, that would be radical indeed.

J H S,

Definitely a doubled die. Look at all the separation visible between the letters of LIBERTY.

I'll humbly surrender here. I'll add that the MD on "states" and "America" on one of my cents is nearly as radical as that, yet, the forum determined it MD, not DD. I forget the year of the cent right now.
