.....plastic hemisphere....
I wonder if the plastic is appropriately biodegradable? I'll never know, had no interest in buying one.

Prices on ebay are starting to bell-curve upwards. Presales are edging up towards $200

Quote:Another sell out from the RCM. "Sell out" is precisely correct. At one time in the very distant past the RCM went from one triumph to another with its designs. Now the RCM just goes from one gimmick to the next.

Sold prices on ebay are $135 ca ish, not really a money maker, actually not at all unless you get a decent dealer discount to begin with.

If someone looking for it - I've seen couple of hours ago the coin at the PO in mid-town Toronto. Nice idea, but very specific coin. If to put together series of "innovations" from RCM - it deserves to be among others.

I just got mine. This coin is stunning. It really should be the coin of the year thus far.

Like other have said, I think it would command even more if it was made of glass. The plastic is a huge deterrent for many, including myself.

Quote: How can it be "the coin of the year" when it doesn't even fit the standard definition of a "coin"? Well, the Mongolian coin with embedded Svarowsky crystal did get the COTY reward. But I agree, to get this reward, is better the coin be "more real" coin
