Yay! I also like this 200 for 200 series and happy to know that the Mint decides to keep it going. The order status shows 0$ because it is a subscription, a good sign, meaning there will be more than one coin. And according to my rep's email, this coming one is call "Vast Prairies", and it looks good.

@wildflowerAB All subscription orders with the RCM, when originally placed, will show "0" dollars. Each item, when shipped, will appear with a new order number as "processing". This is good news. It means that there will be more than one issued of this $200.00 series.

Question if their will be another $200 for $200 just answered. Just received advanced notice for the $200 Canada's Vast Prairies coin limit of 2 per account.

@ New1954 Thanks, that's interesting to know. RCM seems to somewhat be in a state of flux. Their challenge is to sustain or increase earnings coupled with rising silver prices, now at $27/oz, balancing the cost of XforX redemptions. From a financial perspective, 30,000 $200s at 63.07g are more profitable than 300,000 $20 at 7.96g (compare to 79.6g). Thetefore it wouldn't entirely surprise me if $200s were resurrected in lieu of the demise of $20s. As long as folks are buying the $200 for $200 for the right reasons, knowing RCM discloses time and time again on their website that businesses or financial institutions are not obliged to redeem them, then it seems here you have it back!

Thank you for the URL, Wildflower!
Although, I'll not continue to buy them (hate the risk involved to spend CAD 200 and someday to stay with 2oz Silver), but this is very nice series. Some of them better than other, bit high mintage, but in overall very balanced and good series.
Congrats for the collectors, continuing with 200for200

I redeemed my entire $20 for $20 collection at the bank yesterday. Well, I had my mom go in as the poor widow who found these in the house and had no idea what to do with them (most of which was true). They would not redeem them for me since I am a non-resident and have no Canadian bank accounts. I bought them over the years because I liked them but decided to sell when I realized I had a lot of money tied into these. I had never even thought about the Master's program until I discovered to my surprise that I hd qualified.

I too received an email but only on Tuesday and was quite surprised to see the program resurrected. Is this the delayed item from May we are seeing? The next issue had originally been planned for September but I read that it won't be available now until October.

I have a really nice 2013 dark wood O Canada case that will hold 5 - $200 for $200 coins quite nicely ( 2 at the top & bottom & one in the middle. ) I just have to remove the existing felt coin holder and cut a piece of 1/4" foam and cut 5- 50mm slots. Last time I did it for the $20's, $50's & $100's it turned out pretty good so I think I'll do it again for the $200's. Really happy the $200's arn't dead !

Good idea SherwoodDavid... I have a couple of those boxes too, and was wondering of an easy way to alter them to fit other coins.

RedZapsid, you must have just got back from the cottage - this $200 thread was resurrected 3 days ago.

All done. Just need a couple more $200 for $200 coins to fill it up then I'll have to start another box.

Your pic is excellent silwooddavid and thanks for showing off your ingenuity! Creating practical ways and means to store or display collections can be as satisfying as the actual collecting.
