None of them. With the fees that ebay now charges it is hard for a legitimate dealer to do business there. If I can figure out who they are, I'll contact them and work on a private negociation.

I almost never do business with the same seller twice as I usually buy a coin when an opportunity presents itself, not when a certain seller lists it. Those I do repeat business with sell ancient Chinese coins, and are therefore not of your interest.

A seller with nice coins but without a huge following that drives the price up to or past retail pricing. Kind of a moving target. If you do not get many direct replies - it is because it is a bit like asking a rock collector where they find their hidden treasures...
I collect xf/au/bu Lincoln Wheat Cents & my favorites include fittedshirt2002, little_pine_tree, alpimon, rohrbacher6cqu & southparkcoins.
Good luck...

I like to establish relationships with dealers and go back to those who have treated my fairly. They get to know what I like and sometimes give me a shot at something before they offer it elsewhere. I only take the "hit and run" approach with the sharpies who are often out to get you. I don't do that very often, but it's worked on rare occasions.

I always look up the user name on Google and see if they have a website. I know ebay fees are at least 6% and may be as high as 11.8%, so I'll start at 10% off the listed price and see what they will do if I deal with them directly.

Don't have a favorite, but I research seller and if I like what I see from listing and seller research, I try to bundle multiple listings at a decent discount. Works most of the time.

I usually don't have a favorite seller as I evaluate the coin and the condition. I must say that the exception to this is cudabob496 on ebay. Ive bought many coins from him and he is the best ever!!

With the anonymity of the Internet, a good relationship is much harder to forge.

I don't have time to develop face to face relationships with the few coin stores that are in a 100 mile radius of me, and they are all grossly overpriced with very slim inventory of what I collect anyway. Necessity creates opportunity, and I have found ebay to be rather easy to find good sellers that get to know you and you can follow them and it works out well. The main reason is supply. A lot of the world bullion I collect, especially back issues, not even places like APMEX or JMBullion carry, and when they do they are very high priced. I am able to find sellers in other countries (once I trust them) that have what I need, negotiate good prices and have quality items. Yes, the exist. But I have been an ebay member for over 15 years and have learned a lot of what not to do and how not to get frustrated in those 15 years. ebay has many scam artists. Most of my single coin purchases will only be in the U.S., only with legit pictures and not stock photos and only dealers who offer returns, etc. But oddly enough, most of my go to sellers that I have learned to trust and buy from on a regular basis-- are from other countries, and often use stock photos.

icecube is my favorite seller. I've bought twice from him, and both times no problems. But...my favorite part is his descriptions. Here's an example, and there are different examples among his listings. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2002-S-SIL...AOSwFnxaUt6b

ufomechanix for a diverse and mostly high-quality selection of world coins. 0.99c auctions for all listings to boot, and free shipping within the US. Can't beat that.
