I understand slamnbass and I have done that before but these images are there and to scale they are not smaller or larger and if you look at the pic of the reverse of the whole coin you can see the protrusion . I saw the images with a loupe at 25x and put them under the microscope so I could get clear pics for the thread .
Rest in Peace

w/ slamnbass, think your looking too hard to find an error coin, particularly a hitherto unknown kind. Like me, learn to identify what IS a definite seeable error coin under "normal" magnification. I only use scope to verify such as a D/D RPM once I have "suspected" it under a 25X loupe, then I scope it out to compare with the listings on Coppercoins.com. By many means tho, keep searching, keep asking & learning...we all have a looonnngg way too go before we know it all!

Who knows it just maybe an old die clash?

You should not need any higher power loupe than 14x IMHO.

I also Inverted the coin to take the pics so they would be easier to see upright would it be better for me to leave them Inverted so you can see them as such

The close up photos are too close - I cannot tell how they are oriented. The do not make sense to me. The "design" you think is there appears to be pushed up by damage on the coin.

Here is the coin through the loupe and I changed the lighting so you can see the orientation what I thought was two bases is actually one the third is harder to see without more magnification the mirrored inverted base is at a 45 degree angle from base . I did not think it is a doubles die but was thinking it was material left from a previous strike .

I want to thank everyone for the input on this thread ! If I sounded frustrated it was not towards any of you it was frustration with myself for not being able to convey what I was seeing to you. I do value the knowledge that is in these replies . I still wonder what could pile up the material like this if it could be a chip, I learned from another thread that dents and feeder finger gouges are usually at the rim . This is another mystery I may never know the answer to but it was fun doing the forensics ! Thanks again !
