OH GOD! How can you be so lucky? Quite honestly I am thrilled to death if you do! I seen, just this week, a contractor found an extremely rare coin raking dirt in the northeastern U.S. I keep thinking my turn is coming for that one big break but I am still waiting!

Please post obverse scan of the 1925 penny....I will then be able to give you an approximation of it's grade and value.
In the meantime, please donot clean any of them.

Don't panic. Bobby just "cleaned" up the photo and enlarged it. No coin cleaning has gone on here!!

I wud say the one you have is in the very good/fine grade.Current value is around the AUD$160.00
The 1925 penny is the second only to the 1930 Penny. Only 117,000 were minted. Trying to obtain one in the mid to high grades is difficult and also expensive. You might find the following price rang mind boggling.
VG (100.00)Fine (160.00)Very Fine (275.00) Extra Fine (1000.00)aUnc (5,000.00)Unc ($11,000.00)Choice Unc (18,000.00)Gem Unc (32,000.00)Proof (115,000.00)
I will have a closer look at your other pennys and half pennys over the weekend.

Hmm....not much for 160$, would be good for safe keeping though :) Thanks lim118.!
Just knowing that you found something of great value even in the junk box makes it already worthwhile I'm gonna keep on scrambling the storage room...just in case :p

Hi, I saw your scan of the 1918 one penny... This is the same images that I have on my 1921 and 1930 pennies. Can you tell me why they are different from most others and which are more valuable? I'd appreciate any input you may have. I've had mine stored away for about 30 years and think they are the rare ones of their circulation. Thank you much! rudy [/quote]
