Barry....I have seen your proof dollar several times here on CCF and it ranks as one of the most stunning coins I have ever seen. I never get tired of seeing it!

I think I have three. I really enjoy this coin--it's big, hefty and silver. Just like a dollar coin should be. I would like to have enough to take a bath in.

Just waiting for my first in a long while. Had to sell off my collection to help offset the cost of taking care of my father who developed Alzheimer's and the correlating move from California to Canada. Looking forward to rebuilding my box of twenty. I find it amusing the amount of comments by those who dislike the series. I'm a toner guy, can't help it.....it's what floats my boat and I can't think of another series with such an abundance of amazing toned coins. For those who dislike them, I applaud your decision and encourage you to leave them all for me. Toned, blast white, errors, mint state or circulated there are so many sets and subsets to collect within the series it's no wonder that they are so popular. JMHO.

There is a house in a near west suburb of Chicago built in the 1920's that has a bar in the basement about 15 feet long. The entire bar top is mint state Morgans set into what I guess is about 3/8 to 1/2 inch of marine spar varnish. I saw it in person several times, the last time about 15 years ago. I didn't count them, but I'll guess 200 or so coins.

That's an expensive countertop! Is the house on the market?

Is the house on the market? Not that I am aware of, but it's a historic home, I'm guessing over a $Mil if it goes on the market.
