I took all my silver to the local coin shop for 8x face. I actually calculated I was making about $5/hr which was better than my paper route. My only regret is that I was undercapitalized.
I love this forum! I've wanted to talk about coins to somebody else. But OBVIOUSLY no one my age would be interested in coins. It's just fascinating how much history a coin has. Pretty good way to save up for college too.

Finding solid or even semi-solid silver is the best feeling in the world.
Back in 2010 I found two solid rolls of Walkers at my dump bank, someone had turned them in and they were mixed in with 30 rolls of my dumps.
then I dropped out of CRHing for 6 years and came back a month ago and my first find was a solid roll of 40% with 3 90% I did a youtube of it

Awesome find Derand. Those are the finds that keep us hunting for sure. The 1st bank I asked for half dollars at had $55.50 in CWR's+loose and $32.50 of it was 40% silver (65 of 111 coins). I went back to that Santander Bank a few days later as I was having trouble accessing my account online. Another teller had $40 in halves that included 11-40% & 1-90%. I decided to go looking at some other banks a couple days later and went to a few down the street from my initial finds. 3 blocks away I found $150 in halves at a Bank of America that included 8 full rolls of 40% and an additional roll with 10-40%, 8-90%, & 2 clad. That was just over 25 ozt in pure silver and still my best find to date (though I have not been doing this much longer than you). Long story longer is if you put in the time you will find much more silver out there. Just keep hunting and saving your finds...you will be in a much better financial position than most kids your age by the time your out of high school. Good luck and congrats on your great start. Happy Hunting.
