@CJ18850

Why do you want to delete it? It's educational for anyone else who has something similar.

Yes... I didn't think of that, as I don't know what the error truly would be. Thought more of not clogging the forum. Thank you.

We need examples of what is not an error as much as the ones that are. This is one way we learn. Feel good knowing that even when you get one wrong, you are still contributing to the community!

Keep looking and keep asking questions!

Thank you very much everyone! Thank you jbuck as well. I certainly want to learn about my coins, as I have been studying them. I feel that my 1959 penny has a grease and lamination error. Not the normal alloy mix that creates a woody penny. Thus, I feel that there was too much grease on the penny, as it was struck, and the lamination mixed with that grease created a possible double die effect around the left side of Lincoln (obverse). On the reverse, the grease and lamination mixed to create a large wavy effect, especially on the Lincoln Memorial. Thoughts?

You may enjoy reading through this topic. There are also some interesting topics linked there as well to explore:

The ripple effect seems to be up for debate. I personally think it is due to extreme heat. If the die had a layer of grease on it, the grease would spread during striking and fill devices leaving missing design elements on the coin.

Here's a pic from coop showing a heavy grease strike-through error:

Hey cj I have one similar only more ripple effect to me there must be a different reason I just saw one that they have on I think worldcoin.com? That they say was caused by cloth and valued at almost 300 dollars try and heat a penny with a torch if it's composite it will melt if it's copper takes alot of heat I tried to duplicate this effect and found it impossible on my coin you can see ripples going different directions obverse and reverse you can see my coin at 1964D Lincoln Memorial cent wavy steps have a good one

Welcome to the forum and nice pics, but as suggested, it would probably help to start a new thread on this subject.
