If it is supposed to be a RDV-006 the FG doesn't seam close enough. With all the damage who can tell 100%. And you are saying the M is centered - OK

Congrats, you replied and stuck by your opinion. And yes, I threw that out there for a discussion.

Ouch.

I would not have worried about arguing this one. Best to forget this poor cent and move on.

Good luck in the hunt.

Ouch indeed.

I'll confirm this as a 1998 WAM ... but alas corrosion has rendered it nearly worthless as a collectable.

Me ... I would celebrate the find (done at CCF) and then deposit into my bank return bag.

Sorry for the bad luck on an otherwise desired LMC variety.

I disagree about getting rid of this Wide AM cent. I would still keep it anyway. I have one in horrible condition and still kept it. But that's just me.

Wow! That actually helped it a lot. Looks way better than it did before. Still a keeper.

This is a WAM. One in REALLY bad condition, but this is a WAM. The A in States in clearly centered between the States. On a CAM it would be closer to the T to it's right.

I just shot this yesterday for another site. It is the word STATES on both a 2000 WAM and CAM reverse. You can clearly see the difference in the placement of the A.

Soaking it in Acetone will definitely make it look better. Even giving it a soap bath made it look great. The funny thing is I also need to get Acetone too, the pure one of course.

Much improved! You certainly had nothing to lose for trying to conserve this one.
