I Knew something was up when he ended the add 9 days early to sell to me. Thats why I was digging for info Thanks again. I do like the 1943 copper one at 631.00 though LOL seller has 18 transactions HMMMM Fake too I gather. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1942-1943-....m1438.l2649

on a side note - given that they are counterfeit - I would (for they right price) like to have one in my collection..
i would also like to have a "Henning" counterfeit nickel.. just saying...

The 1944 Belgian 2 Francs has an identical planchet, but a completely different design, both sides.
The point to be made is that in 1944, 25 million planchets had to be made for the Belgian coin, and so there were would have been a lots of planchets available, in a year when the 1944 U.S. steel Cent is extremely rare.
As an aside, the Belgian 2 Francs just happens an interesting sidelight, if you happen to be collecting U.S. steel Cents. I have both.
