Just may have been an even trade, but seller probably got the better deal. It is hard to get nicer steel cents in slabs, but a 67 should go about $40-45, think your plain Morgans would bring at least $26+ at auction.

We still want at least an estimated of the grades on the Morgans.
But my guess is that you did well.

I've got hundreds of Morgan's but didn't have a good example of this Lincoln. I figured I would not find much higher grade than MS-67

You did good. At the minimum, you took some of your surplus and converted into something you desired. I call that success.

I built a PDS set of 1943 in 67, all NGC because they are tougher on them, and finding NICE ones in 67 is quite a challenge. I paid $105-127, for the three each.

I had to look at dozens of 67's to find true untouched fields and sharp elements.

Yours would qualify as one I'd buy.

You did GREAT. Congratulations.

Beautiful Specimen, Almost had a heart attack though when I firsts saw the pictures, It looks like copper in the shots you took,
Now that would have been a heck of a find, 43 S Lincoln struck on copper planchet.

Congratulations on such a clean and beautiful find
