John, I was thinking about debris the possible cause for this error, but if it was the that, I guess wing should not be able to be seen sufering as well the debris impact.

It is contact damage, NOT a mint error, sorry. Notice the metal being pushed up at arrow tip. PSD. Post strike damage but may have happened during ejection from chamber, doubtful tho.  Edited by Crazyb0

Hello Crazyb0, thanks for your opinion. Sorry to tell but there is no pushed metal. Here in my hands and with 10x magnifying glasses theres is no such pushed metal. On the opposite, it is very clear the flateness surrounding the gap.

Coinfrog I understand that you think is a PMD, but I can tell you it is not. That is why I'm keep telling it is a pretty rare condition. Wing was struck over the lack of metal. Tips feather has the depresion as well, weakly struck but still showing the original design. |

Essus, here's what I see. I see a double contact hit, hit first (RED), then bounced and slid to rest against feather (YELLOW) and in the BLUE direction with a pivot point at the left of both images. Coin contact in transport bags most likely. If this were a planchet flaw, the amount of detail in the indent wouldn't be as it is, it wouldn't have had enough material to work into the die. Thanks Crazyb0, but as I´ve been telling you, rest of the coin looks perfectly normal. Here some pics from the coin still on his MInt Set plastic bag and a better perspective for you. Looks like a piece of chocolate detached, clean detached metal, no trace of friccion or extrage contact as PMD. Hi Newbie24 I bought it on line.   |

As I see it,that is exactly what it turns this matter so interesting. I can tell really, really positive, rest of the coin do not show any deformed metal. Just the usual coin contact on feather tip and those on field and devices.
