Hi Peggy,
Welcome. Is the token metal, or plastic? The mint puts discs in uncirculated coin sets and the like, which Identify the set. I'm not aware of them being metal however.

It is Copper, and the information I got on it today is that it is a medal that was issued with a Uncirculated Denver Mint set. It is the same size as a Penny and fit nicely in the Penny Roll.

Hi aflsujt and welcome to our forum. I had to reduce the size of your pics so that it didn't widen the thread.

I'm not well-versed in errors, but I'm sure someone will come around who can help you with this coin.

I have a coin which is apparently an 1833 quarter anna, it has a pair of lions on either side of a shield with 1833 written under it on one side an on the other it has the 'scales of justice,' it says quarter anna and has what appears to be arabic writing on the bottom. It is the same size as a 2p piece but slightly thinner. Has anyone any idea if it is worth anything

Hello and welcome to the forum. Your coin is a quarter anna from the Bombay presidency in British India. There are a few varieties of this coin which affect it's value. Also, the condition matters a great deal. Your coin could be worth anywhere from $.75 to $150.00.

Please repost your question in the World Coin Forum. It would be very helpful if you posted a picture so that we can determine which variety your coin is, also.

Today has been a delightful one for me in that I have found some neat coins in circulation, and also spent several hours digging far, far down in my old coin box located in the far back of a closet.

I found a coin I had completely forgotten about. In fact, I can't recall how I came by it.

It is the only seated liberty silver dollar in my collection. 1872, evidentally Philadelphia mint, and, using the old grading standard, probably AG - G. No major dings on it, and a part of "In God We Trust" can be seen.

This coin, as well as my entire collection, will be passed down to our kids, but, even though I don't want to sell any coins I own, I am interested in a value on this one. Probably not much, but I'm still interested.

Anybody venture an opinion?

Its actually a copper-plated zinc medal. They are actually made from penny planchets.

I have a hand full of extras. If anyone would like one fre of charge just semd me a SASE.

Hi!

The following is just a repeat post of one I made about four days ago.

This sounds like a weak excuse, but we are re-aranging things here at home, and my Red Books aren't currently available, or I'd look up the information myself.

Following is a repeat of the earlier post, and any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Gary, according to Coin Values and PCGS Price Guide, about $200 in Good condition. Not too shabby at all.

Wow!

Thanks Fred.

I had no idea of the value.

Wish I could remember how, and where, I obtained it. I would guess many years ago, in that I had forgotten I had it.

Would like to add a bust type to the dollar collection. One of these days maybe.

Thanks again for the information.

I am new to this but I have a question? I have come across two pennies, a 1980 and a 1983. The thing is that they have no copper plating, just the zinc. Are they oddballs or worth anything?
