XF-40. Definitely original surfaces. I like it.

'LIBERTY' survives in full, but flatness on high points of the design (for example, Liberty's ear almost gone), results in a grade of VF30.

This example has more than just slight wear on the high points of the design (both sides).

Looks more 35 than 40. Original surfaces is a huge plus on these.

As for LIBERTY, it is helpful but not a conclusive diagnostic, especially on the P mints, which often suffer lower obverse strike irregularities.

I agree with Moxking, The coin grades as an EF40 by PCGS which I assume does not surprise anyone. Numismatic Student, thanks for your recommendation, I sold one of these before that had a somewhat decent strike. At this point, I do see many CCs that are weakly struck, overgraded as the CC I showed before is. I just want a nice clean type piece at this point regardless of mint mark.

Agree with 35. I even pulled up a reference guide and I couldn't get any higher than that.

Was looking at this more closely and noticed a scratch that goes from rim to rim over star 7. Not sure if the part that looks like it is on the field or the plastic.
