OK - the two Octagonal ones are Egyptian, 1933, cupro-nickel - not worth a lot. The other Islamic one - only one side seen - is Turkey, either Kurush or half Kurush from around 1840 - 0.22 Silver, worth a couple of pounds or so. The two headed Eagle coin is Poland 1840 10 Groszy - 0.192 Silver but a bit more collectable - maybe £5...
More please!

OK - next batch - 5 Piastre is Egypt during British protectorate 1916. Another Turkish one - slightly later 19th century. Hong Kong 5 cent is 0.9 Silver - there are collectors but probably a couple of quid. 1775 is a British farthing or Halfpenny - but I suspect contemporary forgery. Still collectable but poor condition so a pound or two at most. Last one is a China 10 Cash from the Republic (around 1920). Need a Chiese expert to nail down which one exactly but will probably go best of those posted so far.

Whoa - I think you are going to have to put fewer pictures in each post as I am struggling to match up the pairs. Too much scrolling back and forth! What I can see: 3 Kreuzer is a German state, but not sure which as the reverse (if I have it spotted right) is too flat. Then Ceylon 1 cent - worthless. Then British penny or halfpenny - worthless in that condition. Australian threepence - silver value only. Japanese 10 Sen - need a Japanese specialist, Also another Chinese coin - specialist required. Swiss 20 Rappen, Belgian coin, another Turkish/Egyptian bronze and Greek coin - virtually worthless, Hong Kong 10 cent, Straits settlements 20 cent and French 1863 1 Franc - all worth a few pounds each. Best by a long chalk so far is the Norway Specie Daler dated 1855 - needs to be checked to ensure it is genuine - if so could be worth £100+

None of them are minted to the old Attic weight standard. It seems that I am 2,400 years behind the times. Actually an interesting bunch, and still worth keeping, especially if your grand dad or some older relative who has passed, collected them.

The 1855 coin - it should be a bit of a large one - could possibly fetch a pretty penny. One Speciedaler of Norway. If it isn't polished and authentic (not sure about the polished part), it could indeed be worth something. Although I'm terrible at estimating these coins, I know that older Norwegian coins tend to be rather expensive. £100 to £500 or more? It looks to be in very good condition, with very little wear, so hopefully it is indeed not polished, damaged or counterfeit in any way. A quick look didn't result in any reference prices, but CoinQuest might be helpful.

I saw 3 Russian coins. 20 kopeks 1909 and 1911 (the relatively high grade of the 1911 might fetch you 5 to 10 pounds based on recent ebay sales)and an earlier coin from 1870s/1880s for which no reverse was shown with the date. The Japanese 10 sen coin appears to be from 1888 (reignal year 21). It is a common date for that type, and like many others in the last batch, worth a few pounds based on recent ebay sales.
