I know because I've seen people selling and buying fake OBW rolls from ebay for over a decade. The seeded end-roll sellers disgust me.

Well, it's a good-looking aged wrapper! There are full return privileges, so what's the risk?

Aha! I'm glad that you know. I figured it was fake anyways. I have learned something from this thread.

OK, so the guy has a bunch of similar rolls for sale, so that's an issue. And some negative/neutral feedback, another issue. But where on earth would you find a wrapper like that?

Is the problem that, if you open the roll to inspect it, then you lose the return option? I suppose?

I contacted him with this exact question just for the fun of it.

Exactly Coinfrog. I'll be very interested in the response that you'll get from him, from contacting him.

I don't think that's an issue, TBH.

13 of the 14 neutral feedbacks were left by one user, with a generic message - big RED warning flag against the BUYER.

Of the 12 negatives, they were only left by 7 unique users, one of which is no longer a registered user - the very next group of three negatives is left by another user with a VERY similar looking id. And the seller claims this one tried to extort him. Seems like we have another fraudulent BUYER here trying to circumvent a ban and trying to get back at the seller for getting him banned. Which to me is HORRIBLE!

Additionally, one address was "undeliverable" per the seller. 3 of the negatives were left by a buyer who claimed they didn't receive the items. I'm always skeptical of buyers who leave that comment, because buyers now and then do lie either about not receiving an item or the item itself being the same as was being offered. I sold a roll of avg circulated 1971 nickels a couple of years ago. Scanned the coins, rolled them up... sold them, and the buyer said the coins weren't the ones in the photos, and that they were "culls." SMH. Got dinged with a negative thanks to the fraudulent buyer.

So, perhaps 5 of the 26 negatives and neutrals are valid. The other 21 are spurious at best.

Thanks, John. I didn't really look into the feedback, just stipulating for the prosecution.

Haven't heard back yet.

Lol, I am not going to put a bid of my money on that roll. I rather have a different buyer get ripped off, if it's a fake roll.

Thanks, guys... I actually contacted him too... but for an entirely different reason than you guys... just looking to add to my "naughty" buyer list.

Heard back - he won't directly answer the question about return privileges, but he does state that all 50 coins are BU 1939-S.

Hmm, that's interesting. I'm still questioning the roll. I would stay away from it still.
