The only one I never found is the '50 Centavos 2012 without the 0', this one is probably the rarest error in a brazilian coin, and is quite expensive

Very interesting error coin! Thank you for showing it to me! I'll keep an eye out for that one, if I'm going through Foreign coins again.

@Thisistheshow :D there's a lots of brazilian coins and currencies
In Brazil we had so many currencies because of the inflation:
Real (plural Reis) (1568-1942) Cruzeiro (1942-1967) Cruzeiro Novo (1967-1970) Cruzeiro (1970-1986) *second type* Cruzado (1986-1989) Cruzado Novo (1989-1900) Cruzeiro (1990-1993) *third type* Cruzeiro Real (1993-1994) Real (plural Reais) (1994-..... )

Could they have been struck with both coin and medal orientation?

No, Brazilian coins are only struck in coin orientation.

All of those currency changes are very interesting. I only got back into collecting a few years ago. The last two times my mother in law went home to visit I had her bring me back a small assortment of coins. She returns to Brazil once a year. Are there any sources there for her to get any of the older coins (pre 1994) other than online purchase-which I could do here on ebay? I assume that the answer is no. Anyways, I have a small collection of modern Brazilian coins that should grow a little each year. I look forward to seeing any of your future posts. I will start checking my Brazilian coins for errors as I have not done that yet.

@adpietri. You for those links. My Portuguese is not great, but I will have my wife look at that site with me. She doesn't have an interest in my coin collecting - but maybe this will be enjoyable for us to share.
Again, thank you

Hello, guys, Hello Adpietri, When you said all coins of Brazil is struck in coin orientation, you meant after 1942 right? It is because there are coins of The "ilustres" series from Reis plan (Rs) that were struke as medal orientation. http://moedasdobrasil.com.br/moedas...?s=17&xm=146BR João.

@jmarcelo,
yes, coins made after 1942, before 1942 there are many coins struke in medal orientation, like the 960 Réis from 1810 to 1834 and many others.
