Right now, it is one of those places where those who are out cannot get in and those who are in cannot get out....thanks to few raging creeks where normally they are as dry as a bone. Phones are down as well...thank God I am not on a landline connection or I will not be able to chat with you all...
Just curious Lim do you work for the mines out west?
Not directly...I am associated with the mining industry.
ASSOCIATED!! If you have been following his posts you will know that LIM is the MINE In fact I think the the mint might get their coins from him.

How I wish RG...... Anyway, Clare is now a well and truly spent force and is no longer classified as a cyclone. Areas that have been "graced" by her have commenced cleaning/restoration work. One gone, but there will be others ahead, the Met. Bureau predicted 5 cyclones with 3 crossings this year.....but they have never been right before.... [:p]

Just curious. Out here in the U.S. West, Cyclone means the same as Tornado. I'm guessing your Cyclone would be a Hurricane, right?

When you get down to it whats the difference.
I see it as a hell of a lot of rain and wind?

Yes, cyclones and hurricanes are the same...starts out at sea as a depression and then gains momentum and intensity as it travels landwards.

Tropical Cyclone Darryl is approximately 495 klms NNE of where I am. Looks like I am truly going to be "rained" in. It is only a Cat.2 at this stage but is expected to intensify as it comes closer to the coast line....
