to CCF. Look here, but only at the slabbed ones. Look for no D or weak D. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fr...H_Complete=1 If you submit use PCGS or NGC.

Excellent example. I recommend you send it to a Third Party Grading service for authentication and grading. It is a valuable coin, and I think when it's in a TPG holder you will be sure that it is authentic. The coin will also have a higher sale value in a TPG holder.

All the markers seem to be there for a legit 1922 "plain" strong reverse (die 2). The only even slightly suspect thing I can see is the shape of the first 2 in the date. Any chance you could get a clear close up of the date? Doesn't have to be microscopic, just a good in focus shot closer than what can be seen on the whole coin pic. ANd congrats on the coin, as it looks like a dandy.

If you do send it in to a TPG, keep us updated, when it comes back.

Date looks perfect as well. Second 2 is a bit stronger than the first 2 and has a slightly more rounded appearance to the inside of the upper loop. Nice.

To CCF , I am by no means an expert on 22 plains ,but I really have concerns with that first 2 and the faded area where the D mint mark should have been .
I hope I'm wrong . Good luck with it .

I had the same concern about the MM area, but left it for more knowledgeable members to initiate.
