It looks to me like salt water damage and without more information I would not say real or fake. What is the weight? Magnet test? Can you provide better images of the date and of the motto?

FML! Sorry guys, I'm a fool. It's definetly a counterfeit. It simply reacts to magnet... Will always have one now in my pocket before heading to european flea markets)) Damn, why do they produce such counterfeits  It's not fair. It's history! P.S. How to delete this topic of shame? xD |

Leave it up, good tool for learning. I would not feel a fool for buying this foreign (to Europe) coin but use it as a good lesson. I have a 1888 CC Morgan myself. They were not produced that year so I bought it as a curiosity and will have it slabbed as an educational piece. Edited by NDBirdman
