Thank you for your answers buddies. 1875 Trade dollar isn't magnetic. But the other 2 coins are magnetic. So, those 2 are fake and the Trade dollar one real?

Nickel is magnetic unless mixed with other metals
Stainless steel with nickle is not magnetic, and without it is magnetic.
The 5 cent piece is not magnetic because nickle is mixed with copper.

Hello and The Carson City Mint was only operational from 1870 to 1893, so an 1848 coin with a CC mintmark must be a forgery.

Yes. Some fakes are made with silver, (usually not with the the 10% copper real Trade dollars have) You can also check the rim and edges with known real examples. Google your coin and look at examples shown. Best yet, take it to a coin dealer and have hive check or send in to be graded.

Sasquatch Sorry. In Turkey, many coin dealers aren't able to figure out if these are real or fake. Because these coins aren't common in here. But there are lots of old European and Ottoman coins in here. I think I shouldn't buy old American silver coins, I will send my fake American coins back. *sigh* And buy myself some Turkish silver coup coins and beautiful Greek Draxmais. I must say they made good job with those fake coins. 2 of them are silver coated steel which is almost carbon copy of real ones, other one might be either full silver or silver coated copper, brass or something like that. I sincerely thank all of you, you helped me a lot about that issue. Regards

Taking it to a dealer would be a waste of your and their time.
Posting the coin here is the best way to get an informed opinion about your coin - more people should be by to offer their opinions.
And yes, many (most) fakes of these are not attracted to a magnet.

llevellin So true. I got the information I need here not from the dealers. And #305; don't blame the dealers because they can't know every coin though. I think 1875 Trade dollar is silver coated brass. I can see very small yellow dots at the edges of the coin. I've contacted the seller and will send the coins back to him tomorrow. I am happy I found here. I will ask for your thoughts when I need. ^^

1843 (O) Seated Liberty - New Orleans Mint made their first Seated Liberty dollar in 1846, this has to be a fake! 1848 (CC) Seated Liberty - Carson City Mint was not even built in 1848 (opened in 1869), has to be a fake! 1875 (CC) Trade dollar - Not sure on this one but the Mint Mark looks off.
