I'll say this, I'm sure that if this is deemed an over polished die issue the I will never look at the FG on the reverse of an 89 again!

Rookie, I wish it were that simple. I am all but sure it is the RDV-005. This one goes against the grain of everything I've learned. I am just truly stumped with no idea why every one of these things I see I pretty much know what they are as soon as I look at it. Not this one and I don't know why.

I want it to be a five, but think it's a six. The first pic kinda shows the flare on the 'G'.

The last pic shows 89 reverse, the first two don't iN my opinion. Jim, I wish you best of luck and hope it's reverse of 88.

Cheers

Grapes, that is actually a small plating bubble. I'm telling you, I've never been more stumped on a coin than I am right now.

Guys, I went back and looked at that cent and I owe everyone an apology. For some reason I had it in my mind this cent was a 1989 D. It is not, it is a 1986 D. Why in the world I would post it was a 1989 D is beyond me. I am humbled by this mistake and hope y'all except my sincerest apologies.

It's all good Jim, we all make small mistakes. If you saw my test scores, one mistake wouldn't bother you.

It's Not a big deal. We all make mistakes. Besides, reading this post made a little part of my day more interesting.
