I know it's on my end cuz I don't have this problem at work. I just don't have it on any other sites on my computer at home either so I'm not sure what to do. I'm not the brightest at fixing things like this. Just thought maybe someone could help. I don't come on here as often as I would like because it's just a pain in the hiney.

I would start by clearing the cache:
Tools > Internet Options > General Tab: under Browsing History, click on "Delete..." then select at the minimum click on "Delete Files..." under Temporary Internet Files.

I have DSL I'm gonna try what Jbuck suggested. Crossing fingers. I would love to be on here more but get so frustrated. Once I'm on the site I don't have any problems.

Quote: I will try to pull it up and it freezes and never comes up and I have to control/alt/delete and try again. Is it just he browser that freezes or the entire PC? Do you have a third-party personal (software) firewalls or "security suites" installed? Any pop-up blockers (Google toolbar, etc)? If so, try to bypass them temporarily to see if that makes a difference. Is this Windows XP? Vista? Home, Professional, etc.?

Just my browser freezes. I just tried it 2 times and it popped right up. I'm hoping that it's fixed. We'll see! Fingers crossed. I've had this problem since I've found this site and that was over a month ago so I would be so happy if it's fixed!

Try closing all of your browser windows and any other programs (just to be safe). Right-click on the Interent Explorer icon and click "Properties" then clear the cache again. Temporarily disable NAV. Is this Norton AV only? Norton Internet Security (NAV plus Norton Personal Firewall and other goodies)? Norton 360? If so, disable as much of it as you can. Launch IE again and try to connect to CCF. I use Norton at home and have no problems, but Norton can be a little iffy at times, so I would not be surprised. How willing are you to give Firefox a try?

Kdkenn,
Is your DSL through SBCglobal.net or associates by any chance? They have a way of "backlisting" a site address on "their" level and it doesn't show on your settings anyplace. I had similar trouble with them with email from this forum to my sbcglobal account. I had to eventually get a gmail address for the forum. Maybe they do the same to URLs. If you google the forum and jump from there, does it make any difference? Sometimes this fools the filter.

Try Disc Cleanup and Disc Defragmenter (under start-accessories-system tools)...maybe your system is bogged down with unnecessary files.

The forum has been "killing" my IE 8 beta for the last few days. I was going to ask Bobby if any changes had been added that could cause this. Firefox has no issues.
