I am often all over the place. I could make a lot of Grading Sets out of the different coins I have.

i have a few nice coins but most of mine a just coins I have pulled out of circulation I have a few indian head pennys and a few korean coins I brought back with me from there

it sond as if the same tone rings true from all postings (the joy of collecting) most of mine are catch as catch can many from pocet change. many purchases mostly merc dimes a gold sovrin of my grandfathers PRICELESS! so many "junk" Wheat penny my wife thinks I'm crazy. 3cent silver and some forign . and some canadian pennys picked from pocket change . after all its right next door. poin is lets have fun |

I have been collecting since the 1975. I was four years old and found a Wheat cent in circulation. I was hooked! I hoard coins, and other stuff for that matter. My coin accumulation consists of numerous inexpensive U.S. coins ranging from 1794 to present, including over 20,000 wheat cents, hundreds of silver coins, over a thousand nickels, and a few gold coins (including two pieces that grade G/VG); hundreds of ancient coins, mostly Greek and Roman, but also some from China and elsewhere; a hundred or so medieval European coins; probably over a thousand modern world coins (1600-present); a hundred or so pieces of U.S. and foreign currency; and a few tokens and medals. There are a few nice pieces, but I haven't paid over $1000 for any single item (although one or two are now worth over $1000). In general, I like to have large quantities of circulated coins. Other collections include antiquities, books, records, CDs, wine, weird stuff, and other things I'm not thinking of right now. Heather |

I have a mix of both. From a Morgan and Peace dollar sets (not complete)all graded MS 63 from PCGS ANACS or NGC on down to my Jefferson nickels (complete) I collected from circulation. |

And I the same. I've got a couple of really nice coins I've paid a couple hundred AU$ for (including my current avatar - gotta love them Rhodian didrachms), but I'm not too proud to rummage a dealer's scratchtray looking for coins which to me can be 'just as nice'.

My collection is small. Almost entirely silver coins,i love silver. Only modern issues,so far,very few circulation coins ( mainly Canadian). And as lim said,all my coins are beautiful (to me)  |

I don't have a huge collection but each and every one of them (to me) are special. I like proofs especially but am just as happy to find a nice circulated coin too. I hope to add more silver coinage as time goes by. Right now most of what I have consists of about 90% circulated and the balance are proofs and mint coins.

Both,I keep everything Iget my hands on.
Some are more sentimental than others,but

well I collect AMerican, And all foreign coins and currency,stamps, bonds, medals etc. what ever I can collect put it has to appeal to me, On the bad side I like everything

I have a large group of cheap Morgan widgets which, taken collectively, add up to a pretty formidable collection of 1921 VAMs. I don't know what I'd call that.
