I found one about 2 years ago after searching boxes since 2000. Definitely rare!

The 1999 Wide AM is the second rarest business strike with the proof style lettering and is considerably rarer than the 1998 and 2000. The rarest is the 1992D Close AM, I think Coppercoins stated in another thread that only a handful are known to exist.
I have never found any of them

I found a 99 Wide AM in the first roll I searched and another in the fifth or sixth, haven't found any since (400 + rolls), and only 2 2000's ( no 98's) Didn't know the 92D was so rare I think I have one, does anyone know where I can get a picture of one to verify. I will try to post a picture once I get my camera working. As a side note does anyone know how to put the fancy box around someone elses quote so I can quit changing the font color (I am computer illiterate).

I just wanted to be sure you did not happen upon it in normal change; what a thrill that would be!

Still, very nice!

Hopefully people don't keep talking about those Wide AM coins. If Whitman hears about it they will put slots in their Albums for those too. I've never even looked for one Wide AM yet.

Hi, Jbuck, I have found a 2000 " Wide AM" in my pocket change. It is the 1999 that is driving me nuts.

Very cool!

I have yet to find any, but I have only looked through change, no rolls.

Ok, I have a 1992d Close AM and I have a 1998 AM not touching. Believe it or not, I found them searching through $20 worth of pennies. I found both of them on the same night. I'm new hear and I know I need to give you proof. I will use someones digital camera and take pics.

I will be sending my 1992d Close AM to CSGI for grading friday. Said it would take up to 4 weeks. I have a 1972 double die that will be sent at the same time.
Rest in Peace
