I'm getting the Royal Visit and Queen's Birthday Cupro-Nickel coins, also getting some Gallipoli coins with different MM off shane. I'm too poor for gold, Guess i'll have to win the lottery to get the good stuff in the short term.

Think of it this way;
Some of the amount of your taxes will go to the mint (RAM is government mint right?) so it's kind of an investment :lol
But if you say "carpe diem", just buy the coins :)

I am still undecided, I might have to go for both of them?

All three coins buddy....

There are 4 coins in this release:
1. 2006 Queen's tour selectively gilded proof 50c.
2. 2006 Q's birthday " " " "
3. 2006 Queen's tour unc 50c
4. 2006 Q's birthday " "

The design of reverse of Queen's tour is stunning.
The 2 proofs can be purchased in a top notch wooden presentation case.
The 2 proofs are the fist ever gilded Aussie 50c

No, I don't have any financial interest in this release !!

The selectively gold plated 50c coins have to take the prize for the best new release even with alot of top notch competition.

But I hope the mint doesn't do a guilded 50c piece every year. The RAM tend to over do a good thing.

THe RAM gave dealers no notice that the issue was finishing. To add to this they have not delivered all of the initial stocks to most delears. I have 100 of my initial order of 200 still on back order and need delivery as every one one of these outstanding 100 is sold.

Most dealers are now scavaging around to try and find more!!!!

These were meant to be an unlimited issues to collectors as my self I dont follow these sort of issues.
Now we have to go out and pay about $15-18 for just one.
Let alone writting this today in a month of now we might be regretting we didnt buy at the above prices with further increases without any noticed.
I guess the RAM is flooded with complaints.
