Been feeding that turtle since his last trip!! He won't go around as he prefers to go under (deep) lot calmer down there! The package went out today and I used an envelope to avoid customs declarations. Darned if the postal authorities didn't ask me what was inside as they ran their fingers over it. I told them it was a homemade birthday card and token with no value so they let it go! Don't know what excuse I will use the next time!!! So, the turtle is on the way!

Whilst we all talk about the UNC ones and the proof ones....the Aussies one is also issued in Alu-Bronze. Here is a stock photo of that coin.... The 2006 $5 Duyfken Al-Bronze BU commemorates the 400th anniversary of Duyfken's exploration of Australia. The coin features a unique 'GZ' mintmark found on the reverse which represents the Dutch phrase 'Groot Zuydtlandt' (Great South Land). Measuring 38.74mm in diameter this Australian legal tender $5 is set in a freestanding, official RAM pack.

Nice picture and coin.
It is a shame it is a $5 coin.

I would have paid more for it if it was a $10 coin. I think the RAm needs to try something different then the usual $5 coins.
Still like the design :)

I wonder what the total mintage is as well.... And yes, it is within your price range Lars....at AUD$660 it is less than a 1925P (EF)......

Well Terry, at the time the donuts would reach you with our mail, it would be biscuits ;-)
Getting a little better now Kid, but still a lot of troubles when I have to do something.
Greetings, Carl
