I have one unidentified ancient coin that one of these days I'll get around to "decrusting" it and see what it actually is... Rachel [:p]

My oldest is a denarius from the Emperor Domitian struck some time around 96 C.E, so it's not as old as the B.C.E stuff some members have, but hey it's old enough for me (for now). ;)
My oldest English coin though dates from about 920 C.E.

I've got a coin from 1691 commemorating the first siege of Limerick(I think it was the first..there were three) Sap kindly identified and evaluated it for me over here. https://goccf.com/t/4253

Well, I am going to embarrass myself, lol..but. My oldest coin at this time is a 1903 Indian Head cent. BUT! I have only just started getting deeply into coin collecting, so hopefully in a month, if not weeks I will have an older one. Hopefully i'll get an ancient coin like some of these sometime too! Chris

I can't approach the already-established benchmark, but I will take the opportunity to mention that through the good auspices of a couple of forum members, I'm acquiring both my oldest, and my first Darkside, coins, a couple of early British pennies. More credit to come later.

Don't feel so bad, my oldest coin is a 1906 British penny, the one pictured in my avatar.

Well I guess you are both right. I just assumed it wasn't that old because of the people with ancient coins:) I guess 1903 is still fairly old lol.

Currently, my oldest is a 1814 small date bust dime. I am trying to locate a nice 1798 large cent for my type album so I can have something from the 18th century in there.

WOW. Coins from the 5th or 6th century B.C. and beyond. Makes my avatar look like a new coin. Thanks for your posts. There are some really nice coins out there. Regards Steve

I just got my oldest coin from KLD - it's a nice Elizabeth I half groat. The portrait is better than I expected and the lettering is great! I'll try to get a pic posted in the next couple of days.
