Tough call. I'll say AU-58.

I checked and it looks like it was lint.

13S is a tough pull in Unc.
This coin worries me. The obverse is exceptionally sharp for a 13S, particularly the date, which is almost always mushy, and IGWT is also exceptionally sharp. For a coin so sharp, the complete absence of luster is also worrisome.
I can't say why precisely but it feels "off" taken as a whole.

Thanks for the feedback. Admittedly the photo is not great and makes it flat. Here it is next to a well worn wheat.

Yeah, that new photo is a great improvement. I'll go with Uncirculated as I see no signs of wear. The die cracks are an added bonus. I don't know if it's been monkeyed with, though, as far as the surfaces go.

Thanks. How do I determine if the surface has been altered?

Hard to tell by photos alone. I'm less concerned about the coin now that I have seen your more recent pics.

Well your first image of obverse does look a little off . And from that image it looks like it was lightly cleaned some time ago . The second photo shows some life to the coin . Well anyway nice reverse die cracks . Strike is right up there on both sides but the color haunts me . IMHO, MS-64 Details .

I'm not seeing any signs of circulation. the lack of full luster on a coin at this level tells me one of two things. one, it was lightly cleaned or two its not as high as MS64
MS64(details) or MS63 straight. I think the only way to tell for sure is to rotate the coin. if it was lightly cleaned I think it would pass.
I'm leaning towards MS63. color is tough on this one due to glare I'm going with BN. in any case this is a nice 13S

Nice coin - hard to say from the photos if the surfaces are original.
