Yes, open them up and store them individually ... 2X2s would be fine. Anything's better than that.

Thanks for the quick responses. Was very disappointed when I received this.

I cannot tell from the pic--was the packaging abraded, and did it damage some coins?
If any of the silver coins have holes in the pliofilm, better to put them in new holders before they tone.
Any abraded coins are spendable or silver melt value (imo) Sorry to hear!

The seal near the nickel was ripped.

I removed the coins and they look okay.

Cool, you may even find them worth more seperately. The '67 set is very popular and some nice looking examples are great in any collection

Yes this happens sometimes. Here is a pic of a 1967 set I acquired last year. This is an error set with the dollar missing. The seals are perfect. Only when the lady noticed that the dollar was missing, the Royal Bank gave her a loose dollar.Just think what that dollar was worth back in 1967.This is a legit set with the dollar missing and a replacement loose dollar.1967 gives us many rare sets for that year[especially rotated coins],some as high as $1500 Canadian.Your set could qualify as an error set with a close examination.Might not be a bad thing!!

I don't think mine would qualify as an error set. The seam was opened from wear as I received it in a plain envelope too.

You can put all the coins in a six coin year set plastic holder if you wish to keep the coins together.

Colonial Acres has them for 0.99 each.

I have bought many coin sets in these plastic holders and they have held up well.

Wow, $8 shipping for one...
I have three sitting in front of me I'll likely never use too.

I agree $8.00 shipping is ridiculous. I have never done business with them.
I just used the link out of convenience because it had a picture of what I was describing to bargar.

I've done business with them before, by mail. The reason it is so high is because they send it via registered post, and not ordinary lettermail. In most cases, my package arrives before the tracking number becomes live on canadapost's website. I think they ship faster when you order from their ebay store.
They seem to be ok overall. You might have to wait two weeks if you ordered hard to find items, like the Silver Maple rounds.
