My guess is AU-55. The lighting makes it difficult and buffalo's in particular are not my strong suit.

i dislike assessing through yellowish lighting. cant see luster properly. I'm betting this coin look different in hand. mid AU. i'll go with AU53. if more luster is hanging around then 55

I used a Milwaukee flash light for this picture and it's a neutral white light. The coin is toned a light gold color.

in that case I stay with my grade of AU53 due to the subdued luster

I'd like to see this one in natural light. I'll stay at AU53 without additional pics, but can see a range of AU50-AU55.

Dropping my AU53 to AU50. May squeeze out a 53 on a Friday, but certainly no more, IMO.

The first photos are taken with one of the sharpest Sony macro lens made. the Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS Lens and the second are from a iPhone 12 which IMO look really grainy but are in the sunlight to show the color of the coin.

The second set of photos made the coin look far worse than the first set.

The photos where cropped in for the second set with iPhone in the sunlight. and the first set the coin was as close to the lense as I could get it and taken with a true macro lense on a mirrorless camera. So big difference in details. The iPhone photos where just to show the color of the coin in different light.
